About the Rhombus Calculator

The rhombus calculator is a free online tool: area, side, perimeter and angles from diagonals. Enter diagonal 1 (d₁) and diagonal 2 (d₂) and the results update instantly, alongside a labelled diagram so you always know which measurement goes where.

Choose your input unit (mm, cm, m, km, in, ft or yd) and optionally show the results in a different one: lengths, areas and volumes are converted correctly. Every answer shows the formula behind it, and the calculation runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Rhombus Calculator example

Input
Diagonal 1 (d₁) = 12 cm
Diagonal 2 (d₂) = 8 cm
Output
Area = 48 cm²
Side length = 7.2111 cm
Perimeter = 28.8444 cm
Acute angle = 67.3801 °
Obtuse angle = 112.6199 °
Inscribed circle radius = 3.3282 cm

How to use the Rhombus Calculator

  1. Pick the unit your measurements use. All dimensions must share the same unit.
  2. Enter diagonal 1 (d₁) and diagonal 2 (d₂). Focus a field to highlight the matching label on the diagram.
  3. Read the results as you type. The largest card is the main answer; the others are the related measurements.
  4. Copy a single value, copy everything, or share a link that keeps your inputs.

Rhombus Calculator FAQ

What formulas does the rhombus calculator use?

A = ½ d₁ d₂; a = ½√(d₁² + d₂²); P = 4a; r = A / 2a.

Can I use different units?

Yes. Pick the input unit and, if you like, a different output unit. Area results are shown in squared units and volumes in cubed units.

Is this rhombus calculator free and private?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up, and calculations happen on your device, so your numbers are never sent to a server.
